Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nabukeera Madinah
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am honored to welcome you to the Islamic University Females’ Campus Kabojja charity website. As the Director, I am excited to share with you our commitment to a mission that goes beyond boundaries – a mission dedicated to creating opportunities for all girls, regardless of their color, origin, gender, or religion.
Our primary goal is to develop an institution that not only fosters higher Islamic education for the Muslim community but also strives to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the poor and needy. Through various projects and initiatives, we aim to build a community founded on unity, acceptance, and understanding, driven by interfaith dialogue.
The core of our work revolves around making the world a better place. We are continually exploring avenues to contribute to positive change, be it through educational endeavors, charitable donations, or other projects that align with our vision. Our unwavering dedication is rooted in the belief that every girl deserves the opportunity to access support and complete higher education.
Empowerment lies at the heart of our mission. By supporting our website, you are empowering communities across the country to address issues that matter to them, leading to positive and lasting change. While our charity has historically focused on providing education for both boys and girls at the main campus of the Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU), we have now shifted our focus to the empowerment of the girl child at the higher education level, particularly for those at the grassroots.
Our approach is influenced by the National Development Plan structural phase of Uganda, emphasizing the importance of community participation in every aspect of our work. We believe in working collaboratively with community members, leaders, and stakeholders to identify, plan, manage, implement, and evaluate projects. Internally, we adopt a participatory approach in managing the affairs of Islamic University Females’ Campus Kabojja, while our dedicated team of volunteer students carries out Islamic service for humanity, albeit on a smaller scale due to the challenges we face.
At the foundation, we recognize the integral role of emergency response in enabling girls to access higher education. Our focus areas include livelihood, education, gender-based violence (GBV), girl child protection, and mental health and psychosocial support. By aligning our efforts with these crucial areas, we aim to create a positive impact on the lives of girls and contribute to the broader development of our communities.
I invite you to join us on this journey of empowerment and positive change. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of girls and contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable world.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Assoc. Dr. Nabukeera Madinah
